TikTok Shop and Tokopedia to Adjust Commission Policies

According to Indonesian media reports, two major e-commerce platforms, TikTok Shop and Tokopedia, will adjust their commission policies for online merchants. Tokopedia announced in an official statement that the new commission rate will take effect on February 11, 2026, but it will only apply under specific conditions.

The platform stated that "it will adjust the platform commission fees and introduce a lower commission rate for products using advertising and live streaming".

The new rules stipulate that all products undergoing advertising campaigns can enjoy a lower commission rate; if a seller's advertising expenditure exceeds 1% of its platform turnover in the past 30 days, then all store orders under its designated category can enjoy a lower commission rate; if the advertising expenditure exceeds 3% of the turnover, then all store orders can enjoy a lower commission rate.

At the same time, all products sold through live streaming will also be subject to a lower commission rate, with specific rates set according to product categories.
