According to CCTV News, on March 2nd local time, Amazon Web Services (AWS) reported that three of its data centers in the Middle East were attacked by drones, resulting in severe business disruptions.

In a statement posted on its official website, the company said that two of the attacks directly hit its data centers within the United Arab Emirates, while another facility in Bahrain was affected by an explosion from a nearby drone. The company did not specify who was responsible for the attacks.

The company stated: "These attacks have caused structural damage, affected the power supply to our infrastructure, and in some cases triggered fire suppression systems, leading to additional water damage. We are working closely with local authorities and prioritizing employee safety during the restoration process."

The company said that the damage has affected multiple AWS services and, given the extent of the physical damage, recovery efforts could "take a considerable amount of time".
