SellerHub learned that Southeast Asian e-commerce platform Shopee recently announced that starting from June 1, 2026 (Beijing Time), it will adjust the cross-border logistics costs (hidden fees) for the SLS (Shopee Logistics Service) logistics channels on the Singapore site. This adjustment involves multiple channels, including standard and express, with some initial and additional weight prices being raised or lowered.

According to the rate table released by the platform, the hidden cost for the standard channel for weights ≤40g will be reduced from 1.26 SGD, and the hidden costs and seller-paid shipping fees for certain weight ranges will also be adjusted accordingly. The initial weight price for the heavy goods channel will increase to a maximum of 2.34 SGD. This adjustment applies to orders generated on or after June 1, 2026, using the aforementioned channels, with all amounts in Singapore Dollars (SGD).

Shopee stated that this adjustment aims to continuously provide better services and resources. Hidden Cost is a unique logistics fee calculation method on the Shopee platform, which embeds cross-border logistics costs into the product selling price, with buyers covering part of the shipping fees to reduce sellers' logistics expenses. This rate change means sellers need to recalculate their product pricing, especially for heavier items, where logistics costs may rise significantly.

For cross-border sellers operating on the Singapore site, it is recommended to log in to the Seller Center promptly to review the specific rate table and reassess pricing strategies based on product weight and logistics channels. Additionally, consider optimizing product packaging to reduce weight or adjusting product combinations to control logistics costs. This adjustment only applies to the Singapore site, with no changes to logistics policies for other sites. However, sellers should still monitor policy updates across sites to avoid profit margin impacts due to rate changes.
