According to market rumors, TikTok plans to officially launch its TikTok Shop e-commerce business in South Korea in the third quarter of 2026.
This marks South Korea as the second country in East Asia for TikTok Shop's expansion following Japan. Insiders reveal that the consumer potential in the South Korean market is significant, and currently, TikTok's entertainment business in South Korea is developing smoothly.
Given the similarities between the Japanese and Korean markets, the specific launch time for the South Korean site will be further evaluated based on the performance of the Japanese site, with the fastest possibility of implementation in the second half of this year.
In addition, TikTok will still focus on expanding into new markets in Europe in the first half of the year.
