Founded in 2002, Sinocare Inc. (“Sinocare”) began with a simple goal: “Let every Chinese diabetes patient have a blood glucose meter.” Its mission is to provide innovative, high-quality products and services for people with diabetes and related chronic diseases worldwide. Today, it serves over 25 million users in 187 countries and regions.
Sinocare believes technology should fit everyday life, not just show off. Through “biosensing + AI + healthcare,” it builds digital prevention, monitoring, and management for diabetes and chronic diseases. Its four core businesses are personal handheld labs, precision desktop labs, precision wearables, and digital diabetes management.
With globalization, Sinocare acquired U.S.-based Trividia and PTS in 2016, adding 40+ years of glucose monitoring and 30+ years of point-of-care testing expertise. Its overseas business expanded from B2B distributors and medical institutions to direct-to-consumer online. Amazon became a key path for brand awareness.
In recent years, Sinocare has focused on UK, German, and Italian sites, with the U.S. as a priority. In eight years on Amazon, annual sales grew from about one million to nearly 200 million. In this high-barrier category, it reached No.1 on Amazon UK within three years. Sinocare has steadily pursued a slow but important goal: earning overseas consumer trust for a Chinese medical device brand.

In Sinocare’s Changsha international sales office, screens show Amazon Seller Central daily—five-star reviews from Germany on one side, return reasons from the U.S. on the other. The company listens to user voices worldwide every day.
Compared with sellers chasing traffic, Sinocare’s work on Amazon is slower, heavier, and harder to quantify. More than selling faster, it must answer a harder question: how can consumers trust their health to an unfamiliar device?

Amazon was not about following the crowd.
Earlier, Sinocare’s overseas business was mainly B2B, with layers of distributors and retailers between the brand and end users. The 2016 acquisitions raised a new question: beyond selling products, how could overseas consumers truly recognize this Chinese brand?
Amazon became a key path to the answer.
Xiang Bo, general manager of Sinocare’s international sales division, says online value is not just faster growth. On Amazon, the path to consumers is far shorter: they can directly learn about the brand, products, and services.

More important is feedback. Amazon brings real user voices directly to the brand—five-star reviews and return reasons alike are read one by one. For a company that puts “user first,” these voices shape product iteration and operations.
Inside Sinocare, Amazon is not just a sales channel; it is a brand window and a direct entry point for user feedback.

If Sinocare’s overseas story has one recurring keyword, it is “compliance.”
Selling medical devices overseas requires a pass in each region. Sinocare entered Europe first. “Europe looks unified, but the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain are all different,” Xiang Bo said. Besides EU CE and IVDR certification, each country has local regulatory requirements.

That is why early compliance warnings from Amazon account advisors carry special weight. When new EU packaging rules required changes by August, an Amazon advisor called with specific reminders: which SKUs to change first and which documents to prepare.
“A month late, the whole shipment could have been removed,” Xiang Bo said. Compliance is no longer treated as a problem to solve after it occurs.
“Compliance is not about avoiding problems; it is our moat,” he added.

For overseas consumers, buying a medical device from an unfamiliar brand is never easy. Healthcare involves lives, so trust comes slowly.
Sinocare’s answer has no shortcuts, only layers of hard work—using accurate, simple, and affordable products and services to break barriers in chronic disease management and bring medical-grade testing and digital management to millions of homes.
The first layer is certification. CE, FDA, and IVDR marks on product pages improve conversion. In Europe, Sinocare also uses third-party labs to disassemble and test devices, adding professional credibility—because knowledgeable users trust these marks.
The second layer is authentic reviews. Real feedback with photos and scenarios often beats promotion. Good reviews require a strong product; otherwise reviews will not look good.
The third layer is systematic brand building on Amazon: brand registry, a brand flagship store, A+ listings, and brand analytics to track brand search rankings.

What pleases Xiang Bo is that “Sinocare” brand search volume on Amazon has risen year by year.
Amazon’s advisor also helped with branding, suggesting the Climate Pledge Friendly badge. It was not planned, but it fits Sinocare’s ESG philosophy. European consumers value the badge, giving a real brand boost. “Some things might take us a year to learn; they explained it in one call.”
For Sinocare, trust is built layer by layer through certifications, reviews, and brand. The most cherished honor is user reassurance—every test is an expression of love; every promise deserves care.

Sinocare does not call this a “success secret.” In this high-barrier, slow-accumulating category, product quality is the foundation, compliance is the ticket, and brand is the moat. All three require long-term investment.
This long-termism also shapes how Sinocare views users. Glucose meters are durable goods with low purchase frequency; test strips are monthly consumables. Repurchase rate matters more than one-time sales—it shows whether users truly accept the device. Sinocare treats every new user as a long-term user.
This long-termism extends to technology. Sinocare sees blood glucose as a core, sensitive continuous metabolic signal. Integrated with sleep, breathing, and exercise data, iCan Health will evolve from a glucose-control tool into a core metabolic health entry point. The AI era will change long-term chronic disease behavior management. Sinocare will use “AI Agent + diabetes experts + long-term behavior management” to accompany users, turning frontier technology into real force.
There is no overnight success. Sinocare spent years in Europe to earn today’s brand influence—even if only reflected in rising brand search volume. In healthcare, moving steadily and gradually building trust is itself a rare capability.
“Patience is worth more than speed.”
