AMZ123 has learned that Lazada’s cross-border site will reclassify 97 beauty categories from “prohibited/restricted” to “shippable” starting September 3, and has marked them green in the knowledge base “Prohibited/Restricted – List of Prohibited Products for All Countries.” This policy applies to cross-border direct-mail parcels sent to Thailand from mainland China, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, and Japan (local fulfillment merchants such as 3PF and FBL are not included in this adjustment).

At the same time, the platform clarified the relevant restrictions: compressed canned and spray products will remain subject to dangerous goods prohibition rules regardless of which beauty subcategory they fall into; products involving FDA and other qualification certifications must obtain the corresponding certificates before listing. This category opening does not mean unconditional clearance.

For beauty category sellers, this adjustment provides an entry window for expanding the compliant product pool on the Thailand site. Merchants that can complete ingredient lists, test reports, and Thai market access documents may prioritize stocking preparations; products relying on setting sprays, canned mousse, pressurized serum bottles, and similar categories will be directly intercepted by logistics providers during pickup.
