AMZ123 has learned that Amazon announced an upgrade to Seller Assistant, adding automated workflows that can run around the clock and launching a Selling Partner Plugin. The plugin first connects with Amazon Quick, then supports Anthropic's Claude in beta.
With these features, sellers can let AI analyze inventory, pricing, advertising, and product Listing data, and authorize AI to continuously handle daily tasks such as replenishment and price adjustments.
1. New Seller Assistant features
The upgrade shifts Seller Assistant from a tool that waits for questions into an intelligent assistant that remembers seller habits, monitors operations, and executes actions after authorization.
Amazon said Seller Assistant is available in local languages to over 90% of sellers, with hundreds of thousands of active users and over 90% suggestion acceptance. Demand is shifting from assistance to hands-off execution.
Amazon launched Seller Assistant in 2023 to answer questions, surface opportunities, and simplify multi-tool tasks. It later added Agentic AI capabilities, allowing it to reason, plan, and act on behalf of sellers with permission.
After this upgrade, Seller Assistant relies on Amazon Bedrock and Anthropic's Claude to handle interconnected daily decisions.
For example, if asked about a product's sales performance, it can spot competitor changes, link them to advertising or cross-promotion opportunities, evaluate listing improvements, and form recommendations.
Previously, sellers reviewed sales data, ad reports, product pages, and competitor information separately. Now AI can combine these into one analysis.
Seller Assistant also adds persistent memory of pricing habits, inventory cycles, and growth goals. This follows sellers across Seller Central, Amazon Quick, and Claude, so they do not have to re-explain their business.
With more use, it offers personalized suggestions based on business context. Amazon says every suggestion includes reasoning, so sellers can evaluate, adjust, or compare alternatives.
A visual workspace lets sellers create scenarios, compare pricing strategies, and analyze ad performance in natural language.
Compared with previous command-driven tools, the new automated workflows continuously monitor business conditions and can respond even when sellers are not logged in.
Sellers can describe needs in plain language and set boundaries. For example: "If any of my top 10 products drops below four stars, remind me and draft a response plan."
For more complex tasks, they can set rules such as: "Continuously monitor competitive opportunities in my category, and if a suitable opportunity appears, adjust prices and update listings."
Every action leaves a full audit trail. Amazon offers preset workflows for account health, orders, pricing trends, and expansion opportunities, and sellers can create custom workflows from scratch.
Sellers can decide whether a workflow only recommends actions or acts directly. If AI executes, sellers can review and approve before the action occurs. AI can work continuously, but sellers retain final control.
Another change brings Seller Assistant capabilities into third-party AI tools. Amazon said 90% of sellers already use such tools, so it wants them to choose their preferred AI agent and access Amazon data and intelligence there.
2. New Amazon Quick plugin features
The new Selling Partner Plugin is available first in Amazon Quick, with beta support for Anthropic's Claude, and will expand later. The plugin connects Amazon data—listing information, real-time operating metrics, inventory levels, and sales analysis—to sellers' preferred AI agents.
The plugin does more than read data. Connected external AI tools can analyze and execute Amazon operations like Seller Assistant in Seller Central, subject to access permissions, human approval, and audit records.
Amazon Quick is a workplace AI assistant for creating documents and spreadsheets, conducting deep research, and connecting email, calendars, and files. It works on mobile, web, and desktop.
After connecting the plugin, sellers can analyze Amazon data with finance, marketing, manufacturing, and other information. For example, they can create pricing, listing, or replenishment agents in Quick. AI shows planned actions first and acts after approval.
For sellers already using Claude, the plugin reduces data connection work. Amazon says some sellers already use Claude to connect channels, accounting software, and supplier systems.
With the beta plugin, these sellers can access Amazon data in Claude and use Seller Assistant analysis and recommendations. Connecting an Amazon account takes about 60 seconds and requires no code.
Anthropic said sellers make many daily pricing, inventory, and advertising decisions. Seller Assistant already provides better strategies with over 90% acceptance. The Claude plugin lets sellers connect Amazon data with existing accounting and supplier data for whole-business advice.
The plugin is now available in beta on the U.S. marketplace and will expand internationally. All global primary account holders can apply for a free 12-month Amazon Quick Plus subscription until December 31, 2026. Primary account holders can also designate two colleagues for a free one-year Quick Plus access.
Early testers shared feedback. James Oliver, founder of Atlas Bar, said he used to spend hours manually connecting Amazon data to AI tools. Now integrated functions complete in minutes what once took an afternoon.
3. Expanded logistics services
Alongside the Seller Assistant upgrade, Amazon continues to expand logistics and pickup networks. According to reports, Amazon now offers nearly 30,000 U.S. pickup locations, including Amazon Locker, Whole Foods Market, and other partners. It expects over 100 million packages to be picked up this year, with most consumers within five miles of a pickup location.
Amazon also launched Standard Ocean Express. According to Seller Central, third-party sellers can ship inventory through the Port of Los Angeles to East Coast fulfillment centers. This is a new speed option under Seller Managed Placement (SMP) bookings.
Amazon Global Logistics Standard Ocean Express moves cargo through Los Angeles and then by rail to East Coast fulfillment centers. Amazon says this improves transit times and reduces peak-season stockout risk.
Licensed brokers and certified professionals handle the process. Sellers can see transparent ocean freight rates and estimated delivery dates when booking. No new registration or documents are required.

Amazon's upgraded AI assistant can now automatically analyze inventory, pricing, and advertising around the clock and execute replenishment and price adjustments. Its suggestion acceptance rate exceeds 90%. Sellers should integrate and test it soon, delegating repetitive operations to AI while focusing on product selection and supply chain decisions.
