AMZ123 has learned that according to the "2026 Shopping App Insights Report" released by Adjust, in the first half of 2026, sessions in Brazilian e-commerce apps increased by more than 35% year-on-year, while new installs rose only 5%. This growth was mainly driven by repeat visits from existing users rather than new user acquisition. The ratio of paid installs to organic installs fell to 0.43, a decrease of 20%. In Latin America, overall sessions grew 25% year-on-year, significantly higher than the global average of 0.3%. In download rankings, Temu and SHEIN took the top two spots in the Brazilian market, with Mercado Libre in third, while Shopee, AliExpress and Alibaba entered the top ten. Local players Magalu and OLX Brasil ranked eighth and tenth, respectively. In terms of next-day retention, e-commerce and classifieds apps reached 19%, notably higher than the 13% for shopping apps. During the Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotion in November, sessions are expected to be 9% higher than the annual average. This shows that Brazilian e-commerce has entered a stage of repeated activity within its existing user base, and Chinese overseas apps have firmly occupied traffic entry points with low prices and high-frequency supply. Local platforms find it difficult to maintain their download rankings and can only seek remedies in repurchase and fulfillment.
Seller Home Review
Brazil's e-commerce traffic dividend still exists, but new customer growth is slowing and installation costs are rising. Sellers need to shift from "new customer acquisition" to "retention and conversion." Temu and SHEIN dominate downloads, and local platforms are under pressure. Cross-border sellers are advised to closely watch the 9% session peak during Black Friday and Cyber Monday and plan repurchase and promotion strategies in advance.
