On August 12, Sea, the parent company of Shopee, reported its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026. Revenue was $7.788 billion, up 48.1% year over year. Services revenue was $7.130 billion, up 48.6%; goods sales revenue was $658 million, up 42.8%; gross profit was $3.550 billion, up 47.3%; net profit was $458 million, up 10.6%; adjusted EBITDA was $917 million, up 10.6%.
In e-commerce, Shopee revenue was $5.6 billion in the second quarter, up 48.2% year over year. GAAP platform revenue was $4.9 billion, up 48.9%; core platform revenue, which mainly includes transaction fees and advertising revenue, increased 65.6% to $4.3 billion; value-added services revenue, which mainly includes logistics services revenue, decreased 9.0% to $676.4 million, mainly due to higher shipping subsidies deducted from revenue.
In the second quarter, Shopee orders and GMV continued to hit new highs: total orders were 4.2 billion, up 27.5% year over year; GMV was $38.3 billion, up 28.4%; adjusted EBITDA was $255 million, up 12.2%.
Sea said Shopee maintained strong growth momentum in the first half of 2026, with GMV, total orders, and revenue all setting new records in the second quarter. As operational efficiency improved and business scale expanded, profitability improved further. Shopee's full-year adjusted EBITDA is expected to reach $1 billion.
In other segments, Monee financial services revenue was $1.4 billion in the second quarter, up 58.9% year over year, driven mainly by credit business growth and increased lending activity; adjusted EBITDA was $288.0 million, up 12.8%. As of June 30, 2026, Monee consumer and SME loan principal balance was $11.1 billion, up 62.5% year over year.
Garena gaming business revenue was $746.6 million, up 33.5% year over year; bookings were $763.5 million, up 15.5%; adjusted EBITDA was $429.8 million, up 16.7%. Adjusted EBITDA as a percentage of second-quarter bookings was 56.3%, compared with 55.7% a year earlier.

Shopee's second-quarter revenue and GMV both grew more than 28%, confirming the resilience of Southeast Asia e-commerce. Sellers are advised to seize pre-peak-season traffic dividends, focus on high-conversion categories, and use platform livestreaming and localized fulfillment tools to capture cost optimization opportunities brought by order growth.
