Amazon Global Store opening2026-4-14

SIPP (Ship in Product Packaging) = Amazon's Own Packaging Shipping Plan

In simple terms: ship directly to buyers using your own brand packaging, which not only increases brand exposure but also reduces shipping costs.

Save Money:Reduce Amazon logistics shipping fees, avoid packaging fees for large items

High Exposure:Buyers receive your brand packaging

More Eco-friendly:Reduce excessive packaging, improve customer experience

✔Open Sites:United States, Canada, and Europe, 5 countries (total of 7 sites)

✔Registration Fee:Free

SIPP has introduced a new feature called "Report Preview", which allows you to clearly view all SIPP products in your store and how much money you can expect to save through a single table.

♢Access Path:Seller Central > Menu > Growth > Browse Plans > Sustainability > Own Packaging Shipping > Click "Download Report"

After downloading the report, you will clearly see:

● Which product numbers are registered

● Which are eligible but not registered

● How much money each product can save

● Estimated total savings(System automatically calculates the past 90 days delivery volume × discount)

This number is the most impactful - it tells you directly how much you can save in 90 days!

● "Eligible": Products that are eligible to join

● "Excluded": Products that do not currently meet the requirements (the second-to-last column "Reason for not meeting requirements" explains why they do not meet the requirements)

● "Certified": Products that have been successfully registered and passed

In the "Eligible Products" tab, find the product categories of certified ASINs

Click the "Quick Register" button, no need to upload test reports or pictures, one-click completion!

Applicable Scenarios: Different color/size variants of the same series of products, products with exactly the same material and packaging type

If you have not previously certified ASINs, you can also complete the registration in three steps:

Enter the "Own Packaging Shipping" page on Seller Central

The system displays:

○ Suggested product category list

○ Eligible marketplaces

○ Savings per item

A test report can certify several similar ASINs, so you can group ASINs. Grouping should be based on size, weight, material, packaging type and specifications, the ratio of the product to the packaging, and the quantity of packaging.

Select ASINs, add them to the product category, and register:

You can search for ASINs in this tab, add them to this category, and click [Edit Product Category and Register] to continue.

Enter the product number in the search box (batch supported)

○ Up to 300 at a time

○ Batch paste separated by commas, spaces, or semicolons

○ Automatic deduplication

System displays "Estimated Total Savings"

Confirm and click "Add Details to Register"

The system will automatically recommend similar product number grouping rules:

○ Similar size and weight

○ Same material

○ Same packaging type and specifications

Scenario A: Self-testing (first-time registration)

○ Applicable to non-fragile, non-liquid, non-hazardous items with hard/soft packaging, weight < 50 pounds

Scenario B: Laboratory testing (fragile items/liquids/heavy goods)

○ Upload ISTA-6 laboratory test report

○ One report can be used for multiple stores

○ Fragile items require testing of at least 5 samples

Although this seller started using SIPP early and has an internal professional packaging engineering team, they still face significant challenges:

● Large number of product numbers: Nearly 120,000 product numbers, batch registration and management become huge challenges

● Handling special cases: About 35,000 product numbers were automatically excluded by the system because the packaging volume is too small (not fully meeting the minimum size requirements of SIPP)

● Multi-site coverage: Need to promote SIPP certification synchronously across three North American sites

Characteristics of excluded product numbers: Although the packaging size does not meet the conventional threshold, through rigorous internal drop tests and long-term sales data, it has been fully proven that its packaging has sufficient protection capabilities during transportation, and there is no need for additional Amazon packaging.

Comparison of effects before and after using SIPP

Even top sellers with annual GMV exceeding $100 million are continuously optimizing SIPP coverage. For small and medium-sized sellers, SIPP has lower thresholds and simpler operations, and now is the best time to join!
