Sina Tech News, October 7 (afternoon) – Douyin Life Services released the "2026 Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Consumption Report." Data shows that offline consumption was strong during the "double festival," with Douyin group-buying orders up 53% year-on-year. Among them, catering orders rose more than 61% year-on-year, hotel and travel orders rose 42%, and hotel and accommodation orders rose nearly 79%.
The report noted that both local consumption and long-distance travel consumption heated up during the holiday. Online content continued to fuel offline consumption enthusiasm, users' demand shifted from "watching" to "deep participation," and deeply experiential consumption became mainstream.
New holiday scenarios and new entry points significantly boosted consumption. Data shows that daily transactions for scenic spot group-buying in the Doushengsheng App increased by 142%. AI entry points became a new holiday consumption scenario for the first time, driving travel consumption. Orders for "Doubao hotel booking" grew more than 56% month-on-month, with Chengdu, Beijing, and Xi'an seeing the highest order volumes.
