Amazon New Seller Platform to Become Default Starting September 24

The new Amazon Seller Central has completed its planned global rollout as scheduled by the end of August 2026. The legacy default fallback option has been officially removed for all sellers, marking a full transition to the new experience.

📅 Key Launch and Transition Milestones

From June 3, 2026: All newly registered sellers enter the new Seller Central directly, with no option to switch back to the old version.

End of August 2026: The legacy default fallback permission is removed for all existing sellers, completing the full rollout.

From September 2026: The old version can only be accessed temporarily through the Settings entry in the top-right corner of the new Seller Central, and all clicks ultimately open in the new interface.

✨ Core Architecture Upgrades

7 dedicated workspaces: Tools originally scattered across more than 200 pages are consolidated by business scenario into seven independent modules — My Business, Products, Supply Chain, Orders, Finance, Customers, and Marketing & Promotions — so you can complete full workflows without jumping across menus.

Global Action Center: Pending tasks are displayed in a fixed location on every page. Urgent items such as listing issues, policy notifications, and performance alerts are aggregated in one place, greatly improving handling efficiency.

Personalized dashboard: The homepage aggregates core KPIs such as sales, conversion rate, ad spend, and inventory health in real time, allowing you to monitor your store status without switching between pages.

🔒 Compatibility Assurance — No Extra Action Needed

All historical account data, listing information, inventory, and order records are fully retained, with no data migration risk.

Existing SP-API integrations, third-party ERP tools, and team sub-account permissions continue to operate normally and are unaffected by the architecture switch.

Core business configurations such as advertising campaigns, FBA fulfillment rules, and promotion settings continue to use the same legacy logic and do not need to be rebuilt.

📋 Quick-Reference Table: Tool Locations in the New Amazon Seller Central

All commonly used legacy features have been consolidated into the 7 workspaces by business scenario. Use the table below to locate them quickly:

🔍 Top 3 Hidden Features Sellers Look for Most

Create FBA shipment: No longer buried in the inventory submenu. Go to the Supply Chain workspace and you will see the “Create inbound plan” button at the top.

Coupon settings: Moved from the legacy advertising backend to the Marketing & Promotions workspace. Click “Coupons” to create directly or batch import.

Return reason analysis: Go to the Orders workspace and find “Returns and value recovery: insights and opportunities” to view AI-powered granular return data.

💡 Tips for Adapting

Temporary links to all legacy pages are consolidated in the “Settings” drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the new Seller Central.

The global search box at the top lets you type a tool name and jump directly to the corresponding page in one second, without drilling through menus.

The mobile Amazon Seller app now mirrors the new desktop layout, with the same operating logic, so there is no need to relearn.
