Amazon AWD Launches in Australia: Expand Storage Capacity at Low Cost and Send Peak-Season Inventory with Confidence
Amazon Global Store opening2026-8-19

Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD) is a warehousing and distribution service. Sellers only need to ship goods to an AWD warehouse. Once inbound, products become searchable and purchasable, and Amazon will automatically/manually arrange replenishment from AWD warehouses to FBA fulfillment centers based on sales forecasts. This helps sellers easily manage global inventory and reliably and efficiently deliver products directly from the source to customers worldwide.

Australia site AWD entry requirements are flexible. Sellers only need an active Australia site account to use it. Small and medium lithium batteries can also be stored. Shelf-life products must have a remaining shelf life of ≥270 days. There is no minimum shipment quantity for cartons.

AWD Australia billing rules are clear and transparent. All fees are denominated in Australian dollars and calculated per cubic meter, excluding GST.

Australia site billing is consistent throughout the year with no seasonal price increases

No long-term storage fees and no long-term contract requirements

If the auto-replenishment rate is ≥70%, you can be exempt from the aged inventory surcharge

How much does it cost to store 1m³ in an AWD Australia warehouse?
