AMZ123 has learned that Amazon US will update dangerous goods compliance requirements starting October 26. When sellers create or edit product detail pages in designated categories, the backend will forcibly display a dangerous goods compliance questionnaire. Existing listings do not need to be proactively handled before the effective date, but the questionnaire will be triggered when creating variations or editing any content such as titles, bullet points, or product attributes later. The above requirements apply to both FBA and FBM fulfillment methods. If the questionnaire is incomplete or contains errors, the listing cannot be saved or published, which may also lead to review delays, restricted delivery permissions, and other issues.
This mandatory questionnaire covers four major categories: refrigeration equipment requires refrigerant gas-related parameters; automotive shock absorbers and suspension support accessories require an explanation of the shock absorption structure; writing tools such as markers require ink property information; swimming pool and spa water treatment chemicals require composition and packaging instructions. Some chemicals and ink products may be required to provide an SDS safety data sheet. The document must be updated within five years, contain all 16 standard sections, and the product name must be consistent with the product page. Relevant sellers are advised to review their products in advance, collect and prepare relevant materials from suppliers, so as to avoid review delays affecting warehousing and sales during the peak season when creating or modifying listings.
Seller Home Review
Amazon US will enforce the dangerous goods questionnaire for four categories from October 26, and both FBA and FBM are affected. Incomplete information will prevent listings from going live. Relevant sellers should promptly check whether their ASINs are included and prepare compliance materials such as the 16-section SDS in advance to avoid listing disruptions during the peak season.
