AMZ123 has learned that Amazon's MFN (Merchant Fulfilled Network) new handling time regulations for inventory preparation will officially take effect on June 29, 2026. The new rules require that the inventory preparation time set by sellers for their SKUs must be consistent with their actual shipping capabilities, and prohibit deliberately extending the handling time to avoid assessment of late shipment rates (LDR). The platform will conduct comparative verification based on actual shipping data from the past 30 days to ensure compliance with timing settings; for long-term false reporting or overtime situations, the system will automatically take over the product timing with AHT (Actual Handling Time) and override the seller's manual settings.
For customized products, handmade items, and large or overweight goods, the platform allows for exemption applications. At the same time, sellers can choose to enable the automatic handling time tool to obtain protection against late shipment rates, or manually match the number of inventory days to the actual pickup and shipping rhythm.
It is recommended that MFN sellers comprehensively review the handling time settings of all SKUs on sale within this week, and adjust the high timing configurations based on the actual shipping performance in the past 30 days, to avoid being forcibly overridden by the system after the new regulations take effect on June 29, which could affect the front-end promised delivery time and overall conversion performance.
Seller's Home Review
The new MFN inventory time regulations force sellers to operate more precisely. Core action points: immediately check the inventory commitment for all SKUs to ensure the timing is real, to avoid being automatically taken over by the system for shipping. It is recommended to move the inventory buffer period forward to the supply chain link, rather than relying on false reporting.
