Recently, many Amazon sellers have received official notices:
"Your listings on Amazon.com will be removed on October 27, 2026. These products will remain available on Amazon, but only for sellers with brand representative status."

Why are my listings being removed if they have no violations?
The issue may not be your account or sales, but that the brand is classified by Amazon as NWD (No Wholesale Distribution), and your seller account lacks the required authorization.
Also, it is not just listing removal. If FBA inventory is not handled and no removal order is submitted by October 27, Amazon may dispose of the inventory at the seller's expense.
1. What is NWD?
NWD stands for No Wholesale Distribution.

Such brands do not sell through open wholesale channels; they sell mainly through their own website, offline retail, or authorized partners. Amazon restricts sales of these brands. Even if you have inventory, you need the required account permission.
When a brand adjusts its sales channels, tightens wholesale distribution, or stops supplying third-party resellers, its products may be restricted on Amazon.
For sellers, the key point is: past sales do not guarantee future sales. Reviews, rankings, and stable orders do not grant ongoing rights. After receiving an NWD notice, first check which ASINs are restricted and whether brand authorization is possible.
2. October 27 is a key deadline
First, verify affected ASINs and inventory. Check the notice in Seller Central and list affected products. Pay attention to:
Which ASINs received NWD notices;
FBA sellable inventory for each ASIN;
Reserved or in-transit inventory;
Which products may still be sold with brand authorization;
Which products need inventory removal.
Second: For listings without authorization, submit removal orders by October 27.
If products cannot be sold, you can return or dispose of them. The deadline is submitting removal orders by October 27, not actual warehouse departure. As long as you submit removal orders before the deadline, Amazon will not automatically dispose of your inventory.
Estimate removal costs. From May 1, 2026, removal fees are charged per unit, not per order. For sellers with many SKUs, fees may add up quickly.
If you take no action, listings will be removed from October 27, 2026, and FBA inventory without removal orders will be disposed of at your expense.
3. How can I continue selling this brand?
If you want to continue selling a restricted brand, you need brand authorization. Regular purchase invoices, purchase receipts, or offline authorization may not remove the NWD restriction.
The key is whether the brand will add an authorized reseller role for your seller account in Amazon Brand Registry.

Steps:
Step 1: Contact the brand to confirm authorization. Ask whether they allow you to sell on Amazon and whether they will assign the reseller role to your account.
Step 2: The brand completes the reseller role authorization. The brand must add the authorized reseller role in Brand Registry according to Amazon's requirements.
Whether the authorization takes effect, which products it covers, and whether it meets current restrictions depends on the backend status.
Step 3: Open a case and submit materials. If listings remain restricted after authorization, open a case with Seller Support, report the 5465 or 6045 error, and provide relevant proof.
Materials may include distribution agreements, official authorization letters, or links to the brand's reseller program on its website.
Submitting materials does not guarantee reinstatement; Amazon will review the case.
Amazon will not negotiate with the brand for you. If the brand refuses distribution permission, you cannot use purchase invoices or self-made authorization documents to continue selling restricted products.
Forced sales may also lead to account compliance risks.
Less than 10 days remain until October 27, 2026. Sellers receiving NWD notices should verify, seek authorization, or remove inventory as appropriate.
If brand authorization is possible, contact the brand immediately and follow Amazon's requirements. If not, evaluate inventory and future costs promptly.
